MagTek’s wholly owned subsidiary, Magensa, provides authentication for personal electronic devices including payment terminals, PIN entry devices, encrypting check scanners, and secure card reader authenticators. Using a proven mutual authentication technique, legitimate devices can be identified and authorized for use while rogue devices can be stopped before they are used to commit fraud. This exceeds PCI compliance measures. Coupled with instant encryption of cardholder data in the read head, PCI scope is greatly reduced.
